for those who will." - Sejuani

She is Sejuani.

"Sejuani was weaned on hardship and reared on barbarity. Where others succumbed to the harshness of the Freljord, she was tempered by it until pain became power, hunger an encouragement, and frost an ally in culling the weak. Through her ordeals, she learned that to thrive in the endless winter, one must become just as cold and unforgiving. In Sejuani's eyes, her followers either have the mettle to endure or the right to die. Once she has conquered the Freljord, she knows that those who survive will form a nation to be feared.

As a child, the leader of the Winter's Claw watched her tribe's numbers slowly dwindle. Cold and starvation took all but the most resilient. She was the only one of her siblings to survive to her tenth year, leaving Sejuani sure that she too would die in misery. In desperation, she sought spiritual counsel from her tribe's mystic. But the seer did not foretell Sejuani's death. Instead, she prophesized that Sejuani would one day conquer and unite the divided tribes of the Freljord.

Armored with absolute faith in her destiny, Sejuani pushed herself to extremes that would have killed anyone without her will to endure. She walked into blizzards without food or furs and trained while frigid winds raked her flesh. She clashed with the strongest warriors of her tribe, one after another, until her legs gave out beneath her. When she assumed leadership of her tribe, Sejuani commanded her warriors to follow her example. Under her rule, the tribe grew stronger than they had ever been.

In the end, it was an offer of peace - rather than an act of war - that began Sejuani's campaign of conquest. On the first day of winter, envoys from  Ashe's tribe approached Sejuani's camp bearing a gift of Avarosan grain. Ashe's intent was clear: if Sejuani united with her tribe, the Winter's Claw would never go hungry again. To Sejuani, the gift was an insult. In Ashe's tribe, she saw men and women, slight and soft, who preferred to farm instead of fight. Her contempt for them was absolute.

Sejuani gathered her people and set the grain alight. She proclaimed that Ashe's offer of charity would bring only weakness. Stripping the envoys of their supplies, Sejuani sent them back with a message: the Winter's Claw would prove to the Avarosan that only the strong deserve to survive in the Freljord. A brief history about the Ice Witch, Lissandra.

"Lissandra's magic twists the pure power of ice into something dark and terrible. With the force of her black ice, she does more than freeze – she impales and crushes those who oppose her. To the terrified denizens of the north, she is known only as "The Ice Witch". The truth is much more sinister: Lissandra is a corrupter of nature who plots to unleash an ice age on the world.

Centuries ago, Lissandra betrayed her tribe to evil creatures, known as the Frozen Watchers, in return for power. That was the last day that warm blood ran through her veins. With her corrupted tribesmen and the strength of the Watchers, she swept across the land like a terrible blizzard. As her empire spread, the world grew colder and ice choked the land. When the Watchers were defeated by ancient heroes, Lissandra did not lose faith and swore to prepare the world for their return.

Lissandra worked to purge all knowledge of the Watchers from the world. Using magic to take human form, she masqueraded as numerous seers and elders. Over the course of generations, she rewrote the stories of the Freljord, and so the history of its people changed. Today the fragmented retellings of the Watchers are seen as children's tales. But this deception wasn't enough – Lissandra also needed an army.

She set her sights on the noble Frostguard tribe. Lissandra knew corrupting the Frostguard would take centuries, and so she launched her greatest deception. She murdered and stole the identity of the Frostguard leader. Then she slowly began to warp the tribe's proud traditions. When her human form grew old, she faked her own death and then murdered her successor to steal her identity. With each generation, the Frostguard grew more insular, cruel and twisted. Today, the world still sees them as a noble and peaceful tribe that guards against evil creatures like the Ice Witch. In truth, they now serve the witch and long for the glorious return of the Watchers.

"I will restore Freljord's greatness" - Lissandra

The freezing tundra of Freljord is rapidly boiling over with a tense confrontation, as the current standoff between the three tribes that have dominated the region for decades suddenly finds itself at a possible conclusion.

One of the rulers of the three tribes that control this region – Princess Mauvole, the Ice Dervish – was found dead in her quarters three days ago in the city of Rakelstake. The elders of her tribe determined the cause of death to be natural, which cleared the way for the new Princess, Lissandra , to claim her throne and the title of Ice Dervish. In Princess Lissandra's first act after her coronation, she stunned her new subjects as she swore fealty to another of the three Princesses of Freljord:  Ashe, the Frost Archer. In addition to her royal status, Ashe is a well-known champion within the League of Legends.

In her coronation speech, Lissandra pleaded with her people that the time had come to unite Freljord under a single banner. "For too long, we have endured hardships from external politics and internal strife. Today is the day that the citizens of the Freljord choose to end this madness, and it begins from within. It begins when we, the noble tribe of the Ice Dervish, put the needs of our people above the needs of our pride and recognize Princess Ashe... as the true power to lead Freljord, united and strong."

Lissandra's words have seemingly swayed her kin; her coronation speech was warmly received by her tribe, and her tribe's elders have each signaled their solidarity with their Princesses' desire for unification. Plans have been made for Lissandra and Ashe to convene in Rakelstake within the month.

The road to Freljord unification is far from secured, as the third of the Freljord Princesses – Sejuani, the Winter's Claw – remains fiercely adamant in her opposition of the other two. "It's clear the Ice Dervish has lapsed in judgment and succumbed to the manipulations of the Frost Archer. The 'united Freljord' the naive Lissandra speaks of is nothing more than a totalitarian state wherein she kneels at the right hand of the tyrant. So long as I draw in breath, the tribe of the Winter's Claw will never sully its name next to those of such conspirators."

Upon issuing this announcement, Sejuani retreated to isolation with the elders of her tribe. This has caused concern amongst the members of the other tribes in that she may be readying for war. When questioned about the matter, Ashe issued the following comment: "We pursue a future in which our children do not have to fear their far-removed kin, and we may live again in peace in this land. Nevertheless, we Freljordians have borne the bite of countless winters, and we have not forgotten how to endure." - League of Legends Wikia

"Battle on the Tundra"

The story behind Ashe's white dress skin.

"Ashe, the Frost Archer, was leading a squadron of elite archers, her closest companions, when they found themselves caught in a wintery nightmare at the end of a week-long standoff with the warring tribe. When she came to, Ashe was surrounded by the tattered corpses of friends and enemies alike. Only divine providence had spared her from the whirling shards of ice, and her hair had turned the color of the arctic tundra. After that day Ashe never again wore the traditional Freljord White Garments of Victory." - League of Legends Wikia

"I won't lead us astray" - Ashe

There is a story told about how Ashe became the Frost Archer.

"The queen of Freljord did not experience a grand childhood. Like any other person that lived in the Freljord, she experienced hardship through her youth. At the age of fifteen, Ashe's mother was killed during a raid and she had to take on the role as the tribe leader of the Frost Archer tribe. During her rule, she had spoken against the tribe's demands for retribution and instead, broker an everlasting peace. Her warriors, however, did not accept this and thus planned to assassinate her. They struck while Ashe was on a routine hunt, but their plan was interrupted by the warning cry of a great hawk. Ashe looked back to see her tribesmen approaching with swords drawn.

Outnumbered and overwhelmed, Ashe ran for hours. She found herself deep in uncharted territory, her weapon lost in the chase. When she heard another cry from the hawk, Ashe followed it to a clearing where she found the bird perched on a pile of stones - an ancient Freljord burial cairn. With a last glance at her, the hawk screeched and flew away. Approaching the mound, Ashe felt her breath turn to frost and an unnatural cold chill her to the bone. The stone at the top of the cairn was marked with a single rune: Avarosa. The assassins burst into the clearing.

Ashe lifted the runestone from the cairn to defend herself, revealing something hidden underneath: an ornate bow carved from ice. She grasped it and tore the bow from its resting place. Cold flowed from the enchanted weapon into Ashe, awakening a tremendous power that had always lived within her. She drew the bow, and by sheer instinct, willed arrows of pure ice to form from the cold, crisp air. With a single frozen volley, she ended the insurrection.

Carefully replacing the cairn stone, she gave thanks to Avarosa for her gift, and returned home. Ashe's tribe immediately recognized the legendary weapon in the archer's hand as a blessing from the ancient Freljord queen herself. With Avarosa's bow and her vision of peaceful unification, Ashe's tribe soon swelled, becoming the largest in the Freljord. Now known as the Avarosan, they stand together with the belief that a united Freljord will once again become a great nation." - League of Legends Wikia

Frostgaurd Theme on League of Legends Philippines

Greetings of peace Summoner,

I know it is already  too late to bring this topic, since Aatrox has been summoned already, but I guess this might lit a little interest to those who love to summon Lissandra on the Field of Justice, and for those individuals who was able to unlock the Frostguard summoner icon.

For those pips who have been playing in the North America (NA) server LoL (League of Legends) while they too play in Philippine server LoL (League of Legends), we have seen how Riot welcomed Lissandra on the Field of Justice. In the login process they have Lissandra’s animation, while Lissandra’s “Comeback Speech” was being played a.k.a “Lore” telling about the revenge they will partake and being reborn as ice born,  and etc., to wrap up things here’s the video from Youtube.com.

I was been sadden by the fact that our PH server LoL (League of Legends), is not as “Astig” or  “Cool” as what Riot had for Lissandra’s enrollment to the League of Legends. I had the feeling that I want to make one.

"The Adventure"
I was exploring my “GarenaLoLPH” folder as what I use to do, looking at the wallpapers that I could personally use in the image folder to set as my desktop wallpaper.

I saw a folder named login, so I checked it, and it was ok, I saw the Authentication screen wallpaper in it. It drew my attention, how about I change the image to the TPA wallpaper? I grab the wallpaper, do the change stuff  hoping things will work, while I was feared by the fact that my LoL might get messed up, I logged in, then there it was, changes has been applied, so I said “I see, this is great! let me change it to Aatrox” still the changes took effect, I said “Looks like a bit of personalized.”. Currently I am using Lissandra.

I  went on, exploring more, I landed on the directory "en_US\HowlingAbyss" I opened it and saw the  "lore" file, out of curiosity I played the file, it is actually a sound file, then there it goes playing, at the first 12 seconds of the sound file, it was silent, until it reaches the 13th sec, Lissandra's voice came out, and she says,

I will bury the world in Ice - Lissandra

"We have waited so long for this day, we have being so patient. Now my children my Frostguards, it is our time. I have seen the future, and it is cold, the watchers return, and they are so pleased with you. They will take away your hunger, they will take away your pain, you will be reborn, like me. You, will become ice born! We will take back what is ours, till the tribes won't be able to stop us, they are but a snow flakes. And we, are an avalanche."

It sounded creepy yet cool.

Next was the champion selection sounds. I landed on the "ambient" folder and saw the champion select sounds, I played the file and it feels like, was really going to play and pick the champion to summon, you know the feeling of the pressure and excitement.


"The Project"
Now I was thinking, and I had the feeling of projecting on to something, and it was the idea of login screen in the North America LOL server, I said "Since all the way from Lissandra's enrollment until Aatrox enrollment to the League this "lore" auido file was here, how about making something like what Riot had in their login screen ( Like the youtube video above)", but the problem is, our PH server has different means of logging in, there is no animation at all. So my problem was how do I get to inject the "lore" sound file, I mean Lissandra's speech, so much like what Riot had in their log in screen. Then I remembered the champion select sound file, now an idea hit me, I said "How about I mix the champion select sound with the lore sound file, so that when I enter the champion selection process I will be able to hear Lissandra's voice, like the one in the North America LOL server?", I grab onto this idea.

I did the same thing with what I did in the login screen of LoL, but this time it is a sound file, so I went on did the changes, mixed the voice of Lissandra and the champion selection sound, immediately after having the mixed sound file (lore sound file) of Lissandra and the champion selection sound, I placed it in the champion selection sound folder, again with the fear of messing up my LoL, I logged in, pressed the “Play” button, been hit by match making process, there it goes I am on the champion selection process screen, picked my champion, after a few seconds, there it is Lissandra’s voice was playing while I was on the champion selection queue and it was like "Wow, cool", feelin the heat of the Freljord war. I was thinking, that I could personalize/theme my LoL just a little bit of a like with what Riot does. And with this project I can theme it into what tribe I want, Ashe of Avarosan, Sejuani of Winters Claw, and Lissandra of Frost Gaurd.

"The Finished End"
Now, when I play and do the champion selection it is as if just like how Riot welcomed Lissandra. Although lesser in coolness from what Riot had for Lissandra. Now I have my LoL themed as Lissandra the Ice Witch with the voice and login screen, what is exciting is that, if I wanted to theme my LOL with the Avarosan or the Winter's Claw, I can.
